Anyone who knows me hates to hear about my dreams because they are so long and weird, but if you feel like reading it, this was a hilarious dream.
It starts out with my parents driving me back to Bentley and I see this truck nail two cars and cause a traffic jam but we get around it and are heading down the highway which had some weird name that I can't remember. We end up back in the city but I'm by myself now kind of in a dark alley but there are a lot of people there, and they are playing this game that is a combination of baseball, raquetball, and world cup (the soccer game). Guys had baseball bats and they were nailing a baseball as hard as they could, but they could only let it bounce once and they had to nail it off a wall like in raquetball. The last team to touch the ball before it got to the end of this wicked long hallway in the alley won the point. So I start carrying around a wooden baseball bat with a ball glued to the top of it (like our wiffleball trophey). I'm walking around with Q, and we go to the end of the hall and turn the corner and Drew is out there with a bat dressed in jeans and a San Diego Padres jersey laughing with some other guy. Q and I tell him that his team can't score any points because he's in the wrong hallway, but he doesn't care and just starts walking with us.
We pick up some more guys like Nash and Dan somewhere in here because we walk through these doors and it's the middle school locker room. Now I've had this school in my dreams before, and it's kind of a combination of the high school and middle school we know. Anyway, the locker room is huge and confusing but I know my way through because I've had a dream about it before, and we get into the gym where Dave Ellingwood and Mickey (the custodian from the middle school I worked with all summer) were putting a new finish on the gym floor. For some reason I knew it was going to be 3 years before anyone could play on it, so I told the guys. Don Henderson walks in and Mickey tells him it will be 3 years before anyone can play on it because I guess he had asked before or something. The stuff they were putting on looked like rubber cement, and Dan decides that he wants to taste it. So he scoops up some of this stuff with hands and puts it in his mouth and chews it, and I'm yelling "awwww!! Dan's eating the laquor!!!!" Everyone was laughing at him, but I kept walking on my own out of the gym and out the front doors of the school.
Outside are all the guys and girls from our class, and it's nighttime. I remember seeing Carrie Harvey and Sam Eberly in the doorway while I was leaving. The reason everyone is out there is because we have a big football game that night, and the town we are in is a huge high school football town, so this thing is a really big deal. Since we had to take a bus to the game, I called shotgun, which in my dream meant that I get the very back seat. Kyle Gibson says to me, "yeah, we get the back log" which meant the back row of seats, and that we could take a nap back there. I'm all excited about this, and Alicia Meyer says that she wants to take a nap too so I invite her into my seat and I'm like "I get to sleep with Alicia!!" and we laugh and high five.
There are a lot of people there, but I start walking away because I hear this beat up the street. The other team had lined up some cars and were doing this awesome beat with the car horns and I was clapping to it and kind of jiving across the parking lot to go talk to Mr. Gelsomino, who was the football coach. The weird part about this football game was that it started at midnight, and I remember thinking to myself that it was going to be hard to stay awake during the game, but I was so pumped up that I would be all over the field hitting people and I wouldn't be able to sleep then. Mr. Gelsomino was taping some kid's ankles up, and I wanted to know where his sons were because they were on the football team. The only time in the dream I actually thought something was weird was when Mr. Gelsomino asked me what his dad needed iced. After that he layed down on the pavement of the parking lot and started stretching, and all of a sudden Mrs. Bellizzi, who lives up the street from me in Ellington, almost backs her station wagon over him, but he stops her with his bare hands.
After that I walk back to where everyone was but apparently we weren't taking a bus because everyone was packed into about 4 or 5 cars. I look in all the cars but they were all full, and I had to do something I didn't want to do, which was get in the car Nash was driving. I didn't want to get in there because Alli was sitting in the front seat with him and I didn't want her to think I just wanted to ride with her. But it's the only car with room so I get in, and it's an old blue-gray Cadillac with huge bench seats in the front and back. When I get in, Alli is kind of scrunched up right next to Mike playing with the radio. I am immediately mortified because Alli never sat like that with me in the car, and she kind of notices me back there and moves back over and there was an awkward silence. Nash was still cool though, so he asks me if I want him to put on Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta (from Office Space) but I can hardly answer him because I'm almost crying. So I'm about to have a heart attack in the back seat, but that's when I wake up panting in my bed, saying phew, it was only a dream (about 20 times).
OK so I know that last part is messed up and it really doesn't mean anything. And yeah I know that we couldn't sit like that in my Saturn, but I did drive her around in my sister's truck one night which does have seats like this Cadillac in my dream, so that must be where that comes from. I just laugh this whole dream off, and if it really bothered me I wouldn't be writing about it, I just thought it was hilarious and that it is further proof that I am the weirdest, most messed up guy in the world when it comes to girls, and you tell from this dream that it's not all my fault, my brain just takes over and forces these things on me sometimes.
Sorry for the lengthy explanation, I actually left a lot of the details out. I woke up and jotted down what happened and went to class and watched half Terminator 2 and came back and wrote this. I do swear by every word of this dream though. Peace out, keep it real.

Well...sing with me sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing it with me if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away...ahh
Dream on dream on dream on
Dream yourself a dream come true
Dream on dream on dream on
And dream until your dreams come true
